The second Central Agricultural Trade Fairs are now over. We are proud to announce that 19,000 people took part in the event throughout the three days. This included agriculture and food sector businessmen, farmers, fruit growers, representatives of agricultural chambers and industry organisations as well as regional residents. Agricultural devices (agricultural equipment and machinery), seeds. fertilisers, plant protection products, food as well as industry specific services and agricultural consultancy were also part of the exhibition. Previously, the Central Agricultural Trade Fairs (CTR) were held under the patronage of the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development. Last year, the Minister of Science and Higher Education, the Ministry of Development and nine provincial governors joined the ranks of patrons. Lubelskie province was the main regional partner. The trade fairs became the venue where all entities which collectively make up the “agricultural market” come together. We have organised a number of accompanying events and conferences in cooperation with leading agricultural organisations and local governments. Last year’s trade fairs featured: 4th Beef Sector Forum and 2nd European Young Farmers’ Forum, “Rural Poland” National Association of Village Leaders, Polish – Kazakh Agricultural and Food Industry Forum as well as numerous seminars and subject specific panels. More than 300 meetings with foreign delegations were held within the scope of the Hosted Buyer programme. These included meetings between representatives from Algeria, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Lithuania, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Brazil and Vietnam and Polish agricultural and food industry producers. 340 exhibitors from Poland, but also from Germany, France, Turkey, Denmark, Croatia, Estonia, Moldova, Kazakhstan, Lithuania, Iran and Cameroon took part in the exhibition. The program comprised 29 conferences and seminars, which included events such as: 2nd European Young Farmers’ Forum, European Council of Young Farmers (CEJA), 4th Beef Sector Forum, “Sustainable production as a development direction for the Polish Poultry Industry: Soil, Water, Air”, “Rural Poland” National Association of Village Leaders and the Polish – Kazakh Agricultural and Food Industry Forum.
