Between 1 and 3 February 2019, Ptak Warsaw Expo hosted the Central Agricultural Trade Fair – the largest event of its kind in Central Europe. Organized under the slogan “Farm to measure the future – modern technologies”, it attracted more than 29,000 trade visitors only.
During the Fair, the premieres of several dozen agricultural machines and SMART AGRO technologies took place, together with numerous conferences and workshops and discussions on modernity and new technologies.
The fair attracted over 29 thousand visitors, including nearly 20% of owners of large farms under the Farmers’ Business Program. More than 160 exhibitors from Poland and several countries from all over the world presented their products and services. It is worth noting that the Central Agricultural Trade Fair opened the trade fair season related to the agricultural sector in Poland, and therefore hosted many premieres of innovative solutions and machines on a global scale.
The Central Agricultural Trade Fair was an important event for all those who are involved in Polish agriculture. It was opened by the Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Ryszard Zarudzki. The ceremony was attended by, among others: Deputy Minister of Environment and Chief Nature Conservator Małgorzata Joanna Golińska; Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for parliamentary, legal, treaty, consular and human rights issues – Piotr Wawrzyk; Chief Inspector of Road Transport – Alvin Gajadhur; Chairman of the Committee on Agriculture and Rural Development in the European Parliament – Czesław Siekierski; Director General of the Committee on Agriculture and Rural Development in the European Commission – Jerzy Plewa. His Eminence Bishop Piotr Jarecki also spoke to the gathered audience.
The ceremony was also attended by Ambassadors, Consuls and the diplomatic corps – representatives of 38 countries, representatives of numerous provincial and municipal governments, representatives of agricultural and economic organizations.
Merchants and contractors from over 20 countries, including Germany, Ukraine, Belarus, Senegal, Finland, Canada, USA, Kenya, Kazakhstan, Ethiopia, Emirates, came to the fair especially for individual meetings with Exhibitors.
An extremely important event was the conference “Africa – the continent of business future”. Widely regarded as a continent of the agricultural and food future, it is a place where we observe many modern technologies, including, for example, innovations in the field of irrigation. During the meetings, opportunities for cooperation were discussed – the visit of guests from countries such as Kenya, Sudan, Egypt or Senegal, who also visited the Hosted Buyers zone, contributed to creating such atmosphere. B2B talks conducted there may result in many valuable contracts for entities operating in the Polish economy. As part of the Hosted Buyers program, the fair was visited by more than 200 buyers from abroad, both from near and far, represented by countries such as the USA, Canada, Kazakhstan, Arab Emirates, Lithuania, Ukraine and Belarus.
The slogan “Farm for the future – modern technologies” mobilized the participants of the Central Agricultural Fair to present the premieres. Both new machines and broadly understood agricultural
equipment as well as new technologies were presented. Saturday’s presentation of Gamma Group company was very popular. The company presented a Qube machine from Euromilk, which allows to improve the work during feeding and preparation of feed. The equipment not only saves time, but also the environment – Marcin Szepietowski, co-owner of the company, stressed that Qube is based on electric batteries, which allow to quietly support the farmers’ work.
During the fair, highly valued prizes were also presented – Golden Cranes of the Central Agricultural Trade Fair. List of awarded companies:
